American actor Neil Patrick Harris, who starred in “How I Met Your Mother,” uploaded onto Instagram on Wednesday a photo of him and his spouse in Israel after arriving there ahead of the annual Tel Aviv Pride Parade, which will be held on Friday.

Harris and his husband, David Burtka, posed for a photo in Tel Aviv and the actor captioned the shot, “We just arrived into Tel Aviv for #telavivpride. First time here, so much to experience. Let the fun begin!”

Harris will serve as the international ambassador to the Tel Aviv Pride Parade. Tens of thousands of people are expected to take part in the event.

Harris said in a statement ahead of his trip to Israel, “Tel Aviv has become a symbol of the openness and acceptance of the LGBTQ community on the world stage, and we are honored to be in Israel for the first time and to have the honor to take part in this beautiful celebration and to stand with the LGBTQ community in Israel and around the world, especially on the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.”

The Stonewall riots were a series of protests by members of the LGBTQ community against a police raid that began on June 28, 1969, at the Stonewall Inn in Manhattan.
